1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly (name, email, application details, payment references) and information generated through your use of the Platform (course progress, submissions, AI Tutor conversations, support tickets).

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and improve the Platform's academic, administrative and financial services
• To personalise learning (e.g. AI Tutor grounding, at-risk detection, study recommendations)
• To process payments and maintain financial records
• To communicate about your enrolment, coursework, and university announcements
• To comply with legal and accreditation obligations

3. AI Processing

Where an external AI provider is configured by the university (e.g. via OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, Groq, or OmniRoute), your questions and relevant course context may be sent to that provider to generate a response. When no provider is configured, the AI Tutor operates fully offline using on-platform course material only, and no data leaves the server.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored in the Platform's database and protected by access controls, password hashing, and role-based permissions. Uploaded files are stored outside the public web root.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with: (a) payment processors (Stripe, Wise) to process tuition payments; (b) AI providers, only if explicitly configured by the university, and only the minimum context needed to answer your question; and (c) as required by law.

6. Your Rights

You may request a copy of your personal data at any time from your account's data export tool (Analytics → Export My Data), and you may request correction or deletion of your data by contacting us.

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management, and a cookie to remember your cookie-consent choice. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.

8. Data Retention

Academic records (grades, transcripts, certificates) are retained for as long as required for accreditation and verification purposes. You may request deletion of non-essential personal data.
